There is a variety of food in the world and every country has its own dietary habit. Now, let’s pick up two kinds of popular food to be compared – Vietnamese food and British food. Vietnamese people often use chopsticks while British people use knife, fork and spoon. Next, let’s talk about more aspects of the differences in breakfast, lunch and dinner between the two kinds of food.
At first, we’ll look at the breakfast. Vietnamese people usually have boiled glass noodles and beef or chicken soup with spices. How delicious they are! However, having these for breakfast is too greasy. They also eat various vegetables and drink water, it’s good for health. And British people often have fired eggs on toast, sausages and bacon with salt, pepper and sauce. They also eat mushrooms and tomatoes and drink orange juice, tea or coffee for breakfast. How various it is!
In addition, they also have different eating habits for lunch. Generally, Vietnamese people have rice, noodles or soup and various vegetables, but British people usually have sandwiches, tomatoes or fast food. It’s more convenient. On the other hand, they also have different drink for lunch. Vietnamese people like drinking cold water or beer, however, British people prefer fizzy drink.
At last, they not only have different food but also have different time for dinner. In Vietnam, people have dinner at about 5:30 pm, while British people often have dinner at 7:00 pm. As for the main course, Vietnamese people have rice, noodles or soup and put various vegetables together, but British people usually have neat, potatoes and gravy with two or three kinds of vegetables. For drink and dessert, people in Vietnam usually drink cold water or beer and eat grapefruit, plums or watermelon, while people in British often drink wine or beer and eat pie or ice cream.
To sum up, every country has different eating habit. Vietnamese people pay more attention to the flavor, however, British people attach more importance to convenience. In a word, we must have healthy dietary habits to keep fit.
